  • a $10 restaurant certificate for $3, which comes to $0.60 after applying the coupon.
  • a $25 restaurant certificate priced at $10 comes to $2 after coupon.
  • a $50 restaurant certificate priced at $20 comes to $4 after the coupon.
Apply the coupon in the cart. At the restaurant, factor the tip against the original pre-certificate bill amount, so a $60 bill before applying a $50 certificate would be $10 to the restaurant, and an $11 tip (18% of $60) to the server.
