This is the brand new version of the popular Sony HX100V camera that was one of our favorite non-SLR digital cameras. Most stores sell this HX200V for around $480, and BuyDig has it on sale for $399 with free shipping. You must log in or create an account to see the price.

This new camera supports sweep panoramic pictures which when switched on, simply sweep across the landscape to take a really wide picture.

$399 is pretty expensive for a camera, especially with many other cameras with good zoom lenses on sale for around $200. Although when you look at the features (3D photos, HD camcorder, great quality lens), it actually seems like a pretty good deal for those who don't want to shell out over $1000 for an SLR camera with similar features. While this is not meant for professionals who need all the bells and whistles that SLRs have, anyone else looking to take amazing pictures would love the investment of a high-end camera like this.

Like the 100V, this 200V supports true 1080/60p video recording, which is better than Blu-Ray (1080/24p, 1080/60i, 720/60p). Because of this, be sure to use a Blu-Ray compatible recording setting on the camera or you will need to find video re-encoding software when you burn the videos onto Blu-Ray discs. Although for viewing through the camera or through a computer, the quality of 1080/60p videos are amazing.
